Had mixed feeling while typing in my matriculation number and password to the school portal
Deep inside me was hoping to get a grade that allows me to achieve a minimum B+ average grade

Pre-Exams Preparation
After a long time of not utilizing my brain and hands for the purpose of studies
I have finally returned to being a "student"
Life in university is not as easy as what teachers have told us...
Since when its been easier than A levels?
O is it because u guys went NIE and hence its relatively easier?
well i will not comment on this for the fear of wrath from the NIE alumni and the current undergrads
I was allocated 4 core modules less economics due to exemption
Marketing, Org Behavior, Business Management and Processes and of cos Statistics
wanted experience a slower pace of life hence i did not opt for any electives for my first semester
so far i guess i had done pretty much average for everything
but finals will be the deciding element which will decree on the grades for the modules
I admit i have not studied much since i matriculated to NTU...
I m not disciplined enough... I need to focus on my end goal
I still have one week to make that difference
I shall utilize every minute wisely and i shall stop writing for now....
till later~

presidential election
first time the people finally get to vote for the president of the state
guess the political landscape of singapore is changing
the GE which took place in may2011 has indeed been a turning pt in creating public awareness about politics
people are generally less apathetic towards such issues
after getting a taste of people's power in voting for their future
they will realise they play a major role in choosing the leader of our state
they also have been more proactive in voicing out their unhappiness rather than bottling up in their heart
the GE2011 also saw the incumbent govt removing their 2 ministers from paliament due to massive outcry over their role in creating more problem than solution for singapore
indeed the politcal outlook of singapore has improved due to the fact people now think logically rather than being spoonfed by information
what can the president do or not do??
did a quick search and he can actually recommend the appointment of prime minister (article 21 (2a))
however on reading further, the prime minister also has the power to remove the president from his office (article 22L (clause 1C, 3-7))
in accordance to article 22, the president does play a big part in appointing key holders of the public organisation in singapore and overseeing their operation
the above articles seems to suggest the president is not as powerless as it seems and he plays an important role in making difficult decision for the people/government
hand, specs, heart or tree?
we will find out tonight....

NDP is here
the yearly event which nsf dread and civilian yearn(for the day off) is just around the corner
fun pack song was an epic fail and has made its way to become the joke of the year
wonder how the organising commitee managed to approve of such disgraceful performance to be shown on national tv
guess its a blessing for singaporeans when the item was removed due to a possible lawsuit over the modification of lyrics
the "mrt-song" is not any better than the former...
why is there a need to glorify public transport when people constantly complain on the service standard?

244 days to ORD

still counting down by days
looking back time actually passed quite fast
and i have not achieved anything significant during my NS stint
i need to go back and revise my H2 math as i forget most of the things
any1 has got srjc's notes to lent and photocopy?
the last thing i rmb-ed was mine went down the garbage chut the moment A levels ended...
gonna re-learn the whole statistic chapter
need to start preparing myself for university life already
lest i could not adapt back to mugging lifestyle and screw up my first year
booked the tix to hongkong from 4may-8may last week
will be going there with my sec school frens
guess it will be my last overseas trip before i ORD
election is just ard the corner
its seems there is a growing sense of dis-satisfaction on the current ruling party
maybe its due to the incompetence and complacency??
some of the policies such as over-importing of foreign trash and introduction of IR created much more social problem and it far out-weights the economy benefit
the overspending of YOG from 87 million to 387 million further demostrates the incompetency in planning
in addition the meal they provided to the volunteers are of such horrible standards
(when they spent 387 million?)
there is a lot more examples u can quote from to show their incompentency
their million dollar paycheck tells a lot too...
even the most powerful man on earth only earn USD400k per year...
do i need to say more??
o yes before i forget... the benefits they bring about in singapore...
the CPF scheme which is almost untouchable by the lowly mortals...
and not forgeting our world class transport

RIP japan...
tsunami, earthquake and nuclear reactor meltdown hit japan within a span of less than a week
guess its gonna take another few years for their economy to recover
considering the loss of infrastructure and human resource
or maybe they can consider importing "PRCs" such as in SG??...
if anyone of those above disaster hits singapore
i guess we will be in history from there on...
went for coy cohesion on friday at kushinbo for lunch
the chocolate fondue was awesome and unique cos its one big chocolate fountain...
went IT fair after that as it was just a stone throw away
not much fantastic deals around... just lots of merchants trying to dump their old stocks...
guess IT fair in singapore now is just a "pasar malem" for out-dated IT products
bought an asus laptop to replace my 3 year old laptop...
guessed my previous laptop has done its part by working for 3 years =D

i gonna get insecticide into murai to eliminate the mosquitoes around me...
have enough of the itchy and painful bites...

End of CNY...
yesterday marks the end of the 15-day lunar new year
which implies my ORD date is getting nearer each month =DD
just remembered today is the day for the 11m toto draw
went down to singaporepools and saw lots of auntie queueing up trying their luck
and my dad still asked me to help him place bet too... WTH
seriously do they even noe their chance of winning??
it is [45 choose 6] = one out of 8145060 combination for normal quickpick
just another SGpool strategy to further increase their revenue by fully utilizing the CNY as an one-off event
Just finished my outfield in murai area which lasted from 15-17 febuary
the mosquito infection seems to be getting from bad to worst
wondering if the NEA is even doing their job...
well i guess it should come with little surprise since flooding in SG has become a regular scene
and the best part is they play the "pushing of blame" game with PUB...
so much for the multi-million leaders we have in SG
they are really worth every single cent the taxpayer are giving for their service...
just read thru the budget report this afternoon
and somehow the idea of increased gst after election ring-ed in my head...
i guess it will happen all over again if the votes gets into the wrong hands =((
time to take the carrot and vote for opposition

避年...
On holiday to china during CNY this year
wanted to experience something different this year and hence the trip to china
trip lasted for 8 days from 29 Jan - 6 Feb
went shandong, weihai. as my dad is also taking the oppotunity to visit his colleague
flight from beijing to weihai was delayed for 5 hrs due to heavy snowing...
the temperature was at -10 degree celcius when the plane touch down
shivering when i was at the walkway to the airport from the plane
my dad's colleague was already waiting at the airport like 1 hr before we landed...
reached the hotel there at around 11pm
the place is not bad considering there is proper infrastructure
had a quick warm shower as the weather is seriously too cold compared to our sunny singapore
went to shop for plug converter the next day
its still snowing and hence the road is slippery due to the frozen ice...
saw the people clearing the road with dozers and shovels
bought some food stuff and instant noodles
finally managed to get online but china blocked facebook, youtube and blogspot
feels like its as good as no internet access...
went for a short tour around the wendeng city where the hotel is located
had lunch at one of their restaurant tried the local dishes
its generally much more salty and contain a lot more vegetable...
taste wise is not bad but i could not get used to eating so much vegetable
sightseeing at LiuGong Island on the 3rd day...
its is really big compared to sentosa and it contains all the evidence of sino-japanese war
the war memorial depicts the island as a major outpost during the war
lots of propaganda is detected and provoking hatred towards the japanese
guess thats the purpose of war memorial musuem...
during the 3rd and 4th of febuary, which is the first and second day of CNY
the whole place is like some ghost town...
everyone is at home celebrating new year and no one is working at all
which means no shopping, no food, no nothing
luckily the supermarket is open halfday and we quickly grab instant noodles and biscuit...
spend the 2 days in hotel watching tv and eating instant noodles
what a "GOOD" idea to visit china during CNY...
on the 5th most of the place is open for business
went for somemore sightseeing around
went up one mountain to see some jade sculpture
its really gigantic and made me wonder how they lift it up to the top of the mountain...
went back and bought a few bottle of their locally produced wine
i now wonder how much my health is affected by this trip to china
their instant noodle and milk tea definitely will reduce my life expectancy
but then again... the food taste good =(
back to singapore ytd at ard 11pm...
bought a martell and vodka at the DFS
wanted to eat supper at airport but cabbed home instead as we were all tired after the flight back...

Another year has passed... its 2011 now
its 2011... which indicates its less than a year to ORD
time flies when u look back... but its crawling at snail pace when u are going thru the motion...
mono-intake for BMT has been cancelled
means i have all the way till july before the new batch of trainees come in
hope i wun get any shit for this whole period...
chinese new year is coming and i will be escaping to china
going on holiday there instead of visiting relatives and all the usual routine for CNY
hoping there will be no flight delay and stuff like that...
sakura lunch buffet at tamphines safra today for my coy cohesion
went play lan with them at khakabo which is located at IOI plaza
its definitely one of the best lan shop around in SG =D
movie with classmates from A6 in the evening
edmund, naomi, wenhui and me...
watched ghost must be crazy and its quite worth the $$
first army story is damn funny =D
seriously can get stomach-ache from laughing...
hit the arcade after the movie ended
haha seriously i cannot play bishi-bashi for nuts
i have some problem coodinating my eyes and hands

and guess what... the next thing that happen was the machine jumped into life

break from camp life
NO MORE BOOK-INs for the rest of 2010 =DD
will be on leave from now till 2nd january where i have to report back to camp...
it will be a break from army life and i get back part of my lost civilian identity
surprise visit at cw's house to celebrate his bday on 16th dec
somehow the plan failed and he spotted us at the corridor area...
stayed overnight at his house and played fifa2011 for the rest of the night
damn i shld stick with winning eleven... its hard to score goals in fifa
went Irodori Japanese Restaurant for buffet dinner ytd as part of cw's bday celebration
the food there was not bad but the serving is too freaking small...
one serving of food means one piece... nothing more...
ended up we spent more time ordering than eating considering the "generous" portion...
went for midnight movie at cathay afterwards
after deciding for a while we agreeded to watch tron...
haha as usual movies by disney are sort of boring and the story is kind of lame...
by the time the movie ended it was 3am...
went to play lan at selegie area after that and spend the next 3 hours there...
its been damn long since i last spent the whole night in town area
reached home at 7+am and i jus fall into the bed straight
haha guess i getting old and cnt keep up with such lifestyle...

its a joke seriously...
chased by coast guards and being treated as some illegal immigrant on speed boat...
that was what exactly happened last week when i was out for some exercise
we were suppose to cruise from khatib area to east coast on speedboat
but somehow we went right into the restricted area of changi naval base after we passed by changi jetty...
the whole camp was alerted and siren could be heard everywhere...
searchlight flooded us and we were all instructed to stop whatever we are doing
the coast guard sped toward us in their boat with weapons loaded...
damn we ain't illegal immigrants... we are NSFs just like you!!!
haha what an adventure we had... i guess we somehow screw up the whole exercise =DD
we did not manage to reach east coast in the end due to the unforseen delay
i was laughing throughout the whole duration with the safety officer who was in the same boat
this gonna be the most memorable joke for the year =DD
class gathering on sat was great
at least there were more ppl and hence more fun =D
come to think of it its been at least 6 months since some of us last met...
well lets see if we could get more ppl the next time round...

eNd Of cLaYm0Re...
2 weeks has passed and i m back to SG
enjoyed myself in thailand for quite a bit especially on days without training
missed the pineapple rice, phat-thai and some other local dish
their food seriously taste heavenly compared to SG...
weather is much hotter than singapore and i had trouble sleeping due to the temperature
training under the sun is worst and we were all practically baked under the blazing heat
played dotA in the canteen whenever i have time and it is really a good way to pass time
met the infamous "jenny" at the canteen and he is damn bloody fat...
he still wore some oversized dress and perform cat-walk around the canteen...
damn that really spoilt our appetite for the day
had our educational tour today before returning back to SG
first stop was at the death railway
nothing much to see actually so we just slept inside the bus...
spent 80% of our time travelling all the way back to bangkok
and we ended up with only 1 hour to shop in one mega big shopping mall
damn and i could not buy anything cause the place is just too big to walk ard...
saw this A&W restaurant and somehow everyone is crazy about the curly fries...
bought the chicken burger meal for A&W for dinner and it tasted somehow like burger king
boarded the plane and reach SG at 1am
saw this group of ppl at the departure area waiting to go for claymore frame 2...
waved at them and we could see their unwillingness to leave singapore
haha that was how we were feeling 2 weeks ago but its over for us now =D
well lets hope there is no next time for us to go claymore again

final hours in SG
In 24 hours time
i will b on board the plane bound for thailand...
lets hope i can return in one piece haha
gonna see changi airport again on e 16th september @ 2am (estimated timing)
cnt wait for the evaluation exercise to be over
3 days + 3 night out in e field...
hope no farmers/rioters/random guy come open fire at us
learned how to operate e assault boat when doing my usual stuff in camp
i was allowed to play with the boat and drive ard
initially had fear it will capsize but no matter hw hard i tried
the boat is still far from having e danger of capsizing
had our usual soccer gathering at yy's hse on sat morning
had lunch at amk hub's NYNY and celebrating seb's bday at e same time
one of my fren was persuaded to take up the giant yankee burger challenge
when the burger finally arrive at e table
we were all shocked by the overwhelming amount of fries they gave
rather than the size of the burger itself...
haha screw NYNY give so much fries so ppl cnt finish the whole meal*(including fries)
and ended up we have to fork out another 41 bucks for the burger+fries
went douby gaut after tt to meet up with jiahao, edmund, trendy and junhong
played pool at parklane mall for like 1 hours before heading off for dinner

seriously the movie is damn freaking boring right from the start
the storyline is plain and there is no action, no nothing at all...
its is a movie about 5 childhood fren and what happen 30 years later when their instructor die...
fall asleep halfway thru e movie and i could nt rmb anything more...
damn the movie is a total waste of (time + money)
walked down orchard to TGIF and had drinks there while we had our talks
haha time flies since we last finished our A levels
went stayover at junhong house with jiahao after our little talks...
i will b on board the plane bound for thailand...
lets hope i can return in one piece haha
gonna see changi airport again on e 16th september @ 2am (estimated timing)
cnt wait for the evaluation exercise to be over
3 days + 3 night out in e field...
hope no farmers/rioters/random guy come open fire at us
learned how to operate e assault boat when doing my usual stuff in camp
i was allowed to play with the boat and drive ard
initially had fear it will capsize but no matter hw hard i tried
the boat is still far from having e danger of capsizing
had our usual soccer gathering at yy's hse on sat morning
had lunch at amk hub's NYNY and celebrating seb's bday at e same time
one of my fren was persuaded to take up the giant yankee burger challenge
when the burger finally arrive at e table
we were all shocked by the overwhelming amount of fries they gave
rather than the size of the burger itself...
haha screw NYNY give so much fries so ppl cnt finish the whole meal*(including fries)
and ended up we have to fork out another 41 bucks for the burger+fries
went douby gaut after tt to meet up with jiahao, edmund, trendy and junhong
played pool at parklane mall for like 1 hours before heading off for dinner

one mOre week
this gonna b my last 2nd weekend in SG before leaving for thailand next monday night(30 aug)
gonna be there for 2 weeks till 16 september...
cnt believe that e battalion is just going to thailand and build bridge for 3 days
den for the rest of the time is jus spent to get accustomed to the weather condition
Battalion anniversary was held at wild wild wet last friday
about 400+ guys were at wild wild wet and it was really stupid...
planned to zao right after attendence was taken but ended up stuck inside wild wild wet
the place is seriously boring with nothing fun at all
freaking waste of our time and wasted my bus fare for the trip there
anw went to have my late lunch at pastamania with my frens before the event ended
watched The Expendables with abraham jiahao and edmund after that at lido
the jokes were seriously hilarious especially this part

experience my first unsupervised medical cover ytd for the battalion run
its also one of the longest medical cover i will experience in my nsf life
woke up on thurs morning 5am just to prepare e stores
went to watch the coy build bridge using m3g till evening
its seriously damn boring watching these machine work...
maybe i shld have bought along my itouch or psp lor
the first advise i got from my csm was to quickly get myself a psp and i was like WTH
now i finally get to experience first hand how boring the life of a medic is...
damn i can't wait for thailand exercise to be over
and i can enjoy my 6 days off and its the end of high key event for us
16 more months in the army
480+days to go...

end of OJT...
2 weeks have passed and that marks the end of my on job training and stay-out
going back to 35SCE and will be there till my ORD date
its confirmed i will be going thailand in one month time
staying there for 2 weeks and the "mission" will only last for 4 days
damn i dun wan to dig shellscrape or camoe myself already...
heard the weather in thailand is extremely hot and hence there will b lot of heatstroke case
gonna prepare lots of IV infusion haha
guess i will be damn experienced in IV when i come back from thailand
might be expecting an activation call either today or tml
damn they better not spoilt my weekend....

Reunion...
went to sentosa for a gathering with abraham after he MIA for almost 7 months from SG...
this gonna b one of his last time in SG before going to study in canada
the next time we meet each other would b most probably during euro2012...
as usual i m the earliest... even though i m 10 mins late
seriously army teaches us to be punctual right? however the training seems to have an inverse effect...
waited for junhong and edmund at vivo for like 2 hours before we finally saw them
bought a cheapskate ball at toy 'r' us for soccer at sentosa
i just realise that i can use ez-link card to gain access into sentosa
haha tink i m really cut off from civilization for too long
went to siloso beach and we started our very own world cup game
its been long since we had a get-together for the guys of A06
especially since abraham is back to indonesia and the fact we have to SERVE ns makes it even harder
cycled after trendy came to join us at ard 4pm
seriously sentosa is getting more overprice each day...
damn is SG really so despo to suck $$ off the tourist in sentosa??
i wonder if it will be the first and last time of the tourist to come sentosa if they ever visit SG again
i believe they would definitely have the common sense to know they have been robbed by the merchants in sentosa
went back to habourfront for dinner and we sort of develop an interest in the teh-tarik there
jiahao and junhong had 2 dose of them and they still yearn for more...
anw everyone left after that leaving behind me jiahao and edmund
went to the top floor of vivo and had some 'HTH' talk
however everything seems to link to army and to down pes...
went home at ard 11...
past one week in seletar medical centre for attachment is damn fun
stay-out life is damn addictive and i hope it can go on forever
been reporting to camp every morning for briefing on stuff we suppose to know
went back to bunk for nap for 2 hours after that while waiting for lunch
had another 4 hours of sleep after lunch before booking out...
seriously i admit i have been doing nothing at all for the past one week except sleeping
haix i feel guilty now yet i hope this kinda of life can go on...

2nd POP in my NSF life
passed out as a combat medic last friday
been doing drills and marching during the last 2 days in SMTI to prepare for the parade...
wednesday was our last night in SMTI and hence some of us decided to hold "blanket party"
went to prank our platoon best and few other ppl after lights out...
ended up one of them sleep with SOG(knife) throughout the night...
haha maybe its a bad idea to play such prank on that guy afterall
posted to selatar camp 35SCE as a platoon medic(damn!)
which translate to no stay out plus need chiong mountain...
first day there was just settling admin stuff and orientation around the camp
well the good thing is stay-out for first 2 weeks during the on-job-training period
jus gt news that i may be gg along with the unit to thailand for exercise 2 month later...
haix although some ppl say combat medic life is damn slack, it all depends on unit
i jus hope i will not need to dig my own grave(shellscrape) ever again!!

medical centre attachment!!
yay its finally the medical centre attachment week
stay-out for 2 days from today till wednesday...
posted to stagmont camp to learn about how the medical centre operates
the store IC role seems to be the worst of all and that guy looks damn stress up
will be going back for the next 2 days to practice IV and drawing of blood...
had lectures for the whole of last week and almost everyone sleep thru everything
i manage to stay awake half of the time and rmb-ed half of what we are suppose to know...
guess we will be screwed on thursday for the last theory test
3 more weeks to pass out as a medic
praying very hard to get posted to e medical centre...
pls dun give me platoon medic posting...

enjoying my life in SMTI for the past few weeks...
went for underwater medic selection on tuesday and we were made to jump from 3m height...
sounds easy but once i got up to the platform somehow my balls 'shrink'...
freefall for 3m before hitting the water beneath
there was a 10m platform too but i guess thats reserved for divers...
nights out on wednesday and went to the nearby lan shop for my first dotA game with my platoon mates
guess the dotA craze will still go on for quite a while...
stand-by universe(personal belonging inspection) ytd before we book out
took 90 mins to complete and all mp4 were inspected for pornographic content etc...
and all these was done due to a theft case from some other platoon...
haix army is always so efficient at wasting ppl's time

my weekend gone....
first weekend guard duty of my NSF life
there goes half of my friday and the whole of my precious sat...
i could barely stay awake during my night shift at 12am
there was practically no soul entering or leaving the camp after 12am
haix why can't they just lock up the camp from 12am-6am and we can get more rest...
anw there was NDP rehersal in nee soon camp ytd and hence we get to enjoy their food
seriously the catered food for NDP is damn nice
much better than our cookhouse pathetic meal...
finished my duty at 8am this morning and went for breakfast with my parents
ended EMT(emergency medical technician) paramedic level 1 course last friday
will be starting level 2 this coming week... more things to learn and practice...
haix SMTI seriously live up to its expection of anyone who enters will fatten up
haha so far everyone who went there had put on extra pound

it is "holiday camp" compared to the type of treatment we get in BMT
2 more month to go before passing out as a medic
in the meantime i gt to memorise all the medical terms and procedure for the test next week
guess the course is quite worthwhile since i m able to pass out with level 1 paramedics cert
had my first nights out last tuesday and i hope it will not b the last...
4 ppl were late when returning to camp and one even lost his camp pass...
haix so many screw up happen on our first nights out
meeting up with my classmates tml for movie
just his luck to get 3 week confinement while i only get 9 days...
thinking back abt my BMT days i can just describe it as - enjoyable but u will not want to do it again...
glad i made it thru as a recruit and life is so much better now
hoping to get posted to some stay-out unit after my course
approx 560 more days to go...

and it feels like i m back to school where i have to memorise things i m nt even interested in...
damn medic course is indeed torturing on the mind
especially when i do nt have any background knowledge in biology
suppose to have my first live IV last friday bt i missed it due to medical appointment
i m totally not a soldier pls... i m just a civilian forced to wear green!
haix i totally need to find a way to get thru my remaining 19 months...
received my letters from NTU and SMU finally
still wondering if i shld go for the business course or shld i change to FASS...
heard from my frens the ppl in business course are totally out of my league
and hence may compromise my performance in class participation...
however this may be a chance to improve myself by learning from them
haix maybe i shld jus stop thinking for now and decide 19 months later after i ORD-ed...
booking in later at 2200...
tml will be my first theory test on human body
have a feeling that i will totally flung this test
i have missed 3 days of lesson in the first week due to MC

haha i guess i will be OOC soon if i continue to miss lesson

Block leave!!
graduated from tekong BMTC school 1 last week...
yeah i had survived the 24km road march and i will be out of tekong for good
received my new posting yesterday and i gt a freaking shock
i gt posted to medical training institute and my vocation is combat medic...
damn guess its a 'good game' for me...
heard from few of my friends it gonna be a 'xiong' vocation if i m attached to 'chiong mountain' unit....
haix all i can do now is only pray that i will be attached to support unit...
been going out for the whole of the block leave
class gathering last sat at trendy's hse and only half the class turned up...

One more week to POP!!
yeah finally i m getting my ass out of tekong...
the place is actually a perfect venue for a getaway
scenery is nice and the air is fresh...
BUT its also the place where we are subjected to suffering and torture
well i m glad due to the fact i will be passing out from tekong and i hope i will not return there again... not as a recruit...
24km route march on wednesday night from 10pm till 6am on thursday where i will have my graduation parade
and i will be getting a 10-day block leave starting from 9th april =D
booking in later at 7pm... will be my last book-in to tekong as a recruit
guess i will be having my hair-cut either today or tml
2 more graduation parade rehersal to go and seriously do we even need so much rehersal??
gonna miss the bird's singing at tekong everynight

5th week of BMT
i have conquered the 5-day daunting journey of BMT
field-camp is finally over and its a milestone of my BMTC experience
the field-camp is supposely one of the high-key event and also the toughest
managed to survive the whole episode with blisters all around me
felt relieve after the announcement that we had complete the field-camp with 0% dropout rate
i suppose the rest of my 4 remaining weeks of BMT would be less demanding
will be having Situational Test this week...
still considering if i should go for command school or just opt to be men...
seriously my aim in NS is to "get over and done with"...
hence i m still deciding which path would be the easiest to take and go through my remaining 1 year 9 month.

4th week of BMT @ tekong
yeah 1 month has passed since i first enlisted on 4th feb 2010...
tomorrow will be my live range on SAR-21
hoping to get marksman which require me to hit 26/32 shots
field camp will be starting on monday and end on sat...
i hope time will just fly for next week as i seriously hate the out-field experience
guess we will all be treated worst than animals for the coming week...
gotta our A levels result yesterday...
5th march 2010 marks the official end of A levels for us
managed to hit 83 pts despite me fearing for econs and math...
gt D for GP and B for h1 physics...
expected A for h1 physics but somehow something went wrong somewhere
manage to obtain As for the other H2 subjects (history, econs, math)
shocked when i saw the result slip and made me wonder how i did it
all in all i had managed to at least secure a place somewhere in one of the 3 public uni...
still deciding of which course to apply and guess i will summit the application next week
haix dunno if i shld be happy or what as field camp is next week and i m seriously vry depressed by the fact i have to suffer there...
i just hope NS will end soon and i can return to civilian life...

i hope time will just fly for next week as i seriously hate the out-field experience
guess we will all be treated worst than animals for the coming week...
gotta our A levels result yesterday...
5th march 2010 marks the official end of A levels for us
managed to hit 83 pts despite me fearing for econs and math...
gt D for GP and B for h1 physics...
expected A for h1 physics but somehow something went wrong somewhere
manage to obtain As for the other H2 subjects (history, econs, math)
shocked when i saw the result slip and made me wonder how i did it
all in all i had managed to at least secure a place somewhere in one of the 3 public uni...
still deciding of which course to apply and guess i will summit the application next week
haix dunno if i shld be happy or what as field camp is next week and i m seriously vry depressed by the fact i have to suffer there...
i just hope NS will end soon and i can return to civilian life...

First week passed by...
one week have passed while i am in Tekong...
longed for civilian life but i still have 650 days more to serve
frens and relative kept reminding to try to go for OCS...
while i was thinking of jus slacking off the 2 years and b some sergeant
seriously i am not the kind who is so 'garang' one
anw first week's training was still managable except the PT which was tough
had a temporary break from army during the new year holiday
went m'sia visit relatives and had fun with firecrackers...
had lots of bak kwa and hope i still have my voice as its all heaty stuff
gonna return back to tekong at 7pm later...
will be having dinner with my section mate at pasir ris
haix will b back on friday night or sat morning...

but this may have been a better route considering one is able to skip national service...

Last weekend....
Ok this is it... 4 more days ( including today )
i would miss my bed and everything...
but this is the route most guys would have to take...
going to tekong and get "fcuked"
last day of my job at Toppan last friday
it was quite an enjoyable experience although the job is very boring...
gonna miss the nice food at ubi
i only remember the thing i always look forward to at work is lunch
met up with the usual ppl for soccer ytd
gonna be the last weekend we meeting up
next time would be after chinese new year and that would be like 3-4 weeks away...
watched toothfairy at AMK with them and the movie was damn hilarious
some of the stuff they have was just so damn stupid...
all in all had a good laugh in there
gg out with my parents ltr...
haix the thought of going to tekong and confine for 10 days makes me "tulan" (no better word to describe)

shopping for new year clothes these few days...
gonna get all the stuff before i enlist
hate the idea of going to tekong and shutting myself out from the rest of the world
But i gt no choice... "LAN LAN" must serve...
went clubbing with ham and his frens yesterday at ST james
will be my last experience(or second last) of clubbin as i do not tink i will be back anytime soon
missed the free entry for students by about 10 minutes

counting down to enlistment...
well my last 2 weekends as a civilian before migrating to Tekong
i jus realise i need to pack my bag for NS...
actually thought just need bring my IC and nothing else
heard from my frens they will provide everything u need...
well i will bring the minimal amount of things there
my job will be over in about 1 week time
actually can extent till end of march...
But my enlistment came early and i do not have any choice
its easy money considering u do not have to sweat
haix NS seriously ruins everything...

18 days to hell...
In approximately 3 weeks i will be recruited into tekong...
will miss civilian life and most importantly, hair
soon i will too be labelled as *botah*
guess i should start shopping for a cap or something...
working at Toppan security printing currently till end of january
been working with cepas cards and activating them using some reader...
these cards include ez-link, passion card, citibank credit etc
the job seriously is plain boring though very easy
the first 1 hour at work i yawned 5 times...
thats the extent of the boring-ness of the nature of this job
and i have been keeping awake in the office with the help of countless cups of coffee
gotta my hands on ipod touch 32gb last week
this will be my lifesaver to curb boredom in NS
will not be bringing it for BMT as theft is very common especially in tekong
for now i will enjoy my Civilian life as much as possible... till enlistment day...

ouch... benefit of student gone !!
concession pass, student lunch, student movie discount...
its all gone in a blink of an eye once the clock struck 12 on the first day of 2010
transport cost is up to 4 times more expensive compared to the past 45cents...
and i must remember to tap my ez-link card when getting off the bus
used to only tap once when boarding the bus but not when alighting...
sometimes i m glad that i was still a student given so much benefits
soccer @ yy house in the morning
the street-soccer court was full and we ended up playing at the field beside it
feel like slping after the game...
ltr still got to turn up for work at 9pm
yeah its the last day(night) at Arena =D

i need a new goal to work towards for this year
earn my first million? get driving licence by end of this year?
first option would never be possible when u are serving NS
well i should get a more realistic goal for myself
A levels result would be released in about 3 month time
i do hope to be able to get into a local university in either business or engineering faculty
worked at Arena for the past 3 days
tml gonna be my last day(finally) (last day supposed to be now....)
the countdown to 2010 was crazy
2009 was a tough year especially with the A levels included in it
people were getting high everywhere celebrating the beginning of 2010
had an inhouse party at 6am after the patrons left the Arena premises
unlimited flow of martell for everyone working @ Arena
gonna enjoy while it last as i would be enlisting in 1 month time
changing my phone soon to a non-camara one due to security issue at military base
planning to get an itouch but could not decide on 8gb or 32gb
the price for the 8gb is S$258 while the latter cost S$408 from an online blogshop
wanted the 16gb model but apple had terminated the production
still hunting for my next holiday job which would last me for one month before my enlistment
it gonna be tough especially for such short period commitment...
gonna sleep now... street-soccer for tml morning =D

phone dead...
my phone(samsung jet) which i bought 3 months ago died last week...
the screen blanked out for eternity despite my attempts to resurrect it...
i should not have touch samsung products at all
anyway jus gt a call from the service centre they will be sending the phone to my hse tml...
at least i do not have to make an additional trip to collect the phone
gt a temporary job for 4 days at The Arena
working as a banquet staff there from about 9pm till 6am
would be only working on eves of public holiday and the day itself
which would be 24th, 25th, 31st and 1st for this coming week...

2A6 Chalet =DD
class chalet lasted from monday till wednesday
did a lot of stuff there except the most important of all - gambling...
where is the fun without gambling?
but too bad cause some people could not make it due to their work or other commitment
ended up only 6 people stayed overnight at the chalet
and 5 actually survived the whole episode...
went night cycling on the first night and we rented the bikes at pasir ris
went to changi and visited the infamous OCH again =D
i would never dare to step inside the OCH at 1am again in case some uninvited guest follow us back
saw thailand 'prostitute' at the changi village carpark and my frens were like commenting how 'chio' those GUYs look...
i just cannot imagine how any straight guy would even set their sight on these transexual
its like so freaking gross and they still have a dick for god sake...
cycled back to changi at about 5am to have a glimpse of sunrise
disappointed by the fact we were facing the wrong direction although we were at the most eastern part of singapore where the sun would rise...
should have camped at the ferry terminal to tekong rather than the changi village area
once again sorry people... i did not realise we were actually 2km away from the spot where we can enjoy the sunrise
ate nasi lemak for breakfast at changi and cycled back to chalet for my very important sleep...
woke up 6 hours later and get the food stuff for BBQ from jiahao's aunty
fire wasn't a problem this time and we got it started on the first try
only problem faced was insufficient charcoal to last us through the whole BBQ...
leftover with a whole lot of chicken wings and otah??
x-box for the rest of the night...
back home the next day and that marks the end of 2A06 chalet

played with my secondary school frens and SR people
collected locker deposit too ($4)
just nice for my lunch even though the amount is a bit little...
Back to pasir ris again on friday to sent jiahao off to tekong
it will b my turn in 2 month time...
talk and took pictures as the next time we will see each other will be 2 weeks later
1245pm inches nearer and off he go to tekong to start his Army life...
bid him farewell and we could see some reluctance in him of bidding farewell to his civilian identity...
lunched at white sands and went play arcade
back home after that...
heard that A levels results gonna be released in late febuary...
would be good to get back the results earlier and spend less time worrying about the unknown

went job hunting on tuesday with ham and edmund
ended up playing L4D(2) at orchard...
haha thats what happen when u have 3 gamers coming together...
hmm anw i guess i manage to land myself in the singtel job which require me to do survey over the phone....
i hope it will be easy for me =D
went met jiahao, edmund and ham today for celebrating the last paper of A lvl - (biology)
jiahao was still sleeping when we reach and we were like WTH pls answer the phone!!!
his NS is like 9 days away and we took time out to 'comfort' him...
walked past starbucks and realise they giving out FREE coffee
we are just in luck as the event is from 5pm-7pm and its only 5.15pm
queued for like 30 mins for the free mocha frap...
i guess its one of their gimmick for gaining reputation
this is what people call 'corporate social responsibility' which means giving back to the society
indeed i would support starbuck after this event and this would have fulfilled their objective of gaining reputation...
went play pool at ParkLane Mall(paradiz centre) after the free mocha frap
i won 4 out of the 5 game and i had lost cause of the black ball going in at the wrong time...
it was fun doing things i had always enjoyed since secondary school
bball and daytona at the arcade @ Zone X in douby gaut
met jiahao at about 8pm as he finally woke up at about 7...
watched Zombie Land at The Cathay
its really a making of L4D(left 4 dead) in movie
but only without the special zombies...
holiday is fun but i feel like i do not have goals to work towards now with the end of A levels
guess everyone is the almost the same...
either rotting at home watching drama and being a crouch potato
or going out with friends and doing all sort of time+money wasting stuff to spend time
however, life is still better after the A levels =D

YEAH!! As OVER!!
hurray As is unofficially over for me!!
ok i still gt physics paper 1 on monday which i do not really give a damn about
haha 10 days break to study for paper 1... is this a joke?
anyway i am already enjoying as if As is all over =D
met up with MF ppl for the past few days for L4D(2), soccer, bball, swimming and so on...
long never met them since the A levels inches near...
had a game of soccer today and i had blister at the back of my leg
and i ended up staggering all the way home...
DotA is back for us too
played on garena almost everyday with them and its fun pawning the publics
and we formed the {MF} clan to play in garena...
(FYI - MF stands for mayflower... don't think too much...)
meeting at 10pm tonight for another round...
hmm guess only weekend we are able to DotA together due to NS...
Watch quite a few movies right after our econs paper, which is also our last paper(unofficial) for A levels
wanted catch 2012 BUT the movie is always out of stock...
but i had downloaded and watched it on my lappy
wanted class chalet but not sure if able to get it at such a late timing...
planned out almost everything except if we are able to obtain the room...
haha quite funny if we fail to book it...
it will be a waste =(

END OF PRELIMS!!
yess tml will be the last official day of my prelims...
wow 2 weeks just passed in blink of an eye it was like yesterday when the prelims started
o well really dunno wat to expect from this prelims
but my goals will remain and if i can achieve is another thing...
will take this 'training' as a learning experience and improve on my studying method especially for history which is heavy on content...

at least if u know what went wrong u can be sure u will not make the same mistake again
physics paper 1 tml and i cnt believe i gt 2 days to study for one freakin paper 1...
and for A lvl worst 10 days!! mind u its 10 days to study for 30 mcq ...

that's a lot to cover omg...
watching chn 5 ndp live and i learn one thing
the content were all for national building and to supress the seperatist tendencies
haha propaganda but its necessary for a diverse yet united cty such as SG
came across this SG's MRT pledge:
We, the passengers of MRT, poise ourselves as 1 united kiasu. Regardless of pregnant women, elderly & little children, to chiong in when the doors open, so as to achieve seats, sleep & rest.

WILL run 2009
its been a year since i ran another 10+km
rmb-ed last year will run i still had time to sit at cafe to chat with friends rather than going for more rounds...
ran about 14+km this year despite i slacked along the way after the 10th round
wasn't feeling tired after the run and i don't know the reason...
maybe i did not push myself? ha i prefer to slack after the 10km target
prelims in 2 weeks time
i don't know if i m ready for it but i will definitely try my best this time
well A levels is just 2 months away and there's little time for leisure now
i just need to persevere on for 3 more months and i will be free from studies...

20th college day
mid years over and results were relatively okay...
but i shld start studying esp. for my math and gp which is weak
i shld blog with 'english' from now on to improve my language...
gt to correct those 'singlish' way of conveying my thoughts in order to pass GP
got e GP tution now and hope that will help me to at least obtain a D in e exams
target for prelims : B(math), C(history), C(econs), A(physics), E(GP)
top performers for 2008 were awarded today for their achievement
hmm dunno if i ever get e chance to stand there too
some of the award were ridiculous even the canteen aunty got one too
well all in all it was a great day and we are motivated to study
dinner at douby gaut after the college day
went around orchard to find e donut shop
managed to find one at cineleisure and home after that...
i m sunburned now OMG after e bball in srjc wif sec school frens
and everyone is reminding me "ehh zhiwei u look a bit red, u drank?"

went play bball wif mayflower ppl
after like 2 weeks cos of e MYE...
ha so long nv meet so talk a lot at e mac lor
dunno y suddenly all play pokemon and yugioh in their ds and psp...
went home and realise i nv bring my keys+parents out...
damn i gt locked out... waited for like 30+ mins at e void deck lor
haix y i didn't bring my keys out wif me sia...
haha tink i old le getting more forgetful these days
tml gt principal rally and SGC talk... haix i can jus slp thru tml's program

we survived e night!!
yess we had managed to return in one piece from e night cycling
went to east coast at ard 7 to rent e bike for overnight cycling
we gt em for like 8 bucks each and it was reasonable cos my fren told me its ard 10 when he went
someone lost his phone but found back in e end and we wasted like 1 hour there lor...
anw cycled from east coast to changi village to hav nasi lemak for dinner
the way damn damn long lah wa piang...
took like 3-4 hours to chiong there lor...
after dinner went OCH at ard 12+ to see e place
never went in cos one of em saw something which i take it as a warning to us lor
haix compared to 3 years ago when i went in
the place never change and it still as errie as it is in e past LOL
cycled back to changi village and my fren told us wat he saw finally...
an figure in whitish shade and looks like a female...
lucky wat he saw is not red cos red = vengence spirits ...

actually wan go red house but since my fren already see these things and the spirits there are more aggressive
we decided to stay out in e end and maybe explore there next time...
slowly tugged our wayback to east coast and we reach like at 5+ LOL
wanted see sunrise but realise we faced e wrong direction and east coast is blocked from it...

wow mid years passed so fast LOL

the sampling i still damn blur lah
haix jus hope i still able to pass the statistic paper lor...

gonna go night cycling on friday... any1 interested to go too?

OMG!!!
its 2 days to mid years
and i realise i have not studied much for my history and math...
dead dead dead
can anyone just tell me how study for history
its really impossible to memorise so much stuff within a mere 2 days...
OMG i wish if i had started history revision first...
at least i will know wat i need to study and how much i need to memorise
tml gonna do challenges to SEA... i muz finish this topic tml
and i realise i have not studied much for my history and math...

7 more days
played bball in e morning at yy's house
was raining for quite some while den finally stop ard 11
played for like consecutive 3 hours and i injured my heels lor
damn tink i jump and landed too hard now walk also pain...
rested a while at home before studying econs
haix dunno if i can finish everything before mid years lor...
downloaded and installed window 7 on my old pc lor
managed to work despite the outdated condition of my pc
tweaked a few prog to get my computer running smoothly lor
window 7 is much faster than vista and easier to use also lor...
at least no lag here LOL...
gg back skool study tml
gonna trim my hair before that lor...
haix the school forever so strict abt attire one sia
no matter how high the level of education...
waste my time to go cut my already quite short hair LOL

i nid another week damn...
sent my lap for repair finally after like 5 months...
the screen keep flickering for no reason lox
haix all my notes, songs, movies etc now gone from me sia...
damn i shld had made a copy of them in my pc also lah
anyway one week more to mid years
i will use all my time for math and history now
maybe one day for pre-war nationalism and another for global economics.
challenges to SEA also take up another day so that means 3 days will be gone to history...
other 4 days for math and one day for econs... damn no time sia
i can jus pray i will be able to finish my revision LOL...
